How Can You Tell If These Golf Shoes Are Right or Left Handed (Footed?)?
Golf Shoes Blog has just had a query from a reader asking how you tell if the Puma Swing GTX golf shoes are for left handed players or right hnded players “I just bought a pair of Puma Swing GTX golf shoes at a warehouse sale, BUT I’m a left-handed player, so how do I know if the pair I bought is for a lefty golfer, How can I tell???”
You might remember from one of the times that we looked at these Puma golf shoes, we mentioned that you’d have different pairs for a right handed and a left handed golfer – because the quills (like spikes, except directional*) are fitted to soak up the swing when the energy is going in one direction. Well I don’t know and so far I cannot find out from any Puma source, though they may read this and tell us.
But you should be careful, because the benefit of the right/left set up won’t just be negated if you swing the opposite way in the wrong golf shoe – it will be worse than that, because it’s designed to grip the other way!
So the answer must be (unless you’re an expert)… test them!
The picture here is from Ebay – where they don’t mention the whole right/left golf shoe issue so I guess that the above query is not going to be alone.
*They claim other differences like you don’t have to clean every round.
