Golf Shoes as Lawn Aerators!
As regular readers will know, I’m always interested in other uses for golf shoes – though these days this is usually limited to using your old spiked shoes which are not so popular on U golf courses.
So when I saw an article on a prime lawn care website about spiking your lawn with golf shoes I was grateful that we haven’t yet run out of new uses for your old (or new) golf shoes.
The article starts…“If your lawn is small or medium sized, a hand aerator machine will do the job with no problem.” Yes but what about the golf shoes… getting closer…” Or, if you prefer to get a good physical workout at the same time, you can invest in a pair of yard aerator sandals. These are simply sandals with spikes on the bottom so that as you walk around your yard or garden, you simultaneously poke holes in it. Of, if you don’t want to do it yourself, get a pair for your children. They’ll love it.” And finally… “But any spiky type of shoes will do – even spiked golf shoes”.
