The following is the reason that I wanted a “no shoes” category for this blog:
I read about Jack Omuro who as a young man could afford NO SHOES and still won the tournament and went on to become a great hall of fame golfer. I don’t have a picture of his feet – nor of any of his subsequent golf shoes but I have tracked down a picture of him recently – playing in the Hawaii competition that he first won in 1960.
The story came to light when the 79 year old tee’d off with three other past champs at the 100th anniversary Manoa Cup this year – where he shot a 84.
