Just a quickie for the no golf shoes section
Shin Ji-yai hs just won the ADT Championship which wraps up the LPGA season. She was quoted in the press cover, saying that she dreamed of becoming a great golfer while watching Pak play at major LPGA competitions – without shoes at the age of 10 in 1998. What is not clear is who was not wearing shoes the 10 year old aspirant of the korean hero in the tournament?!
Shin has just won $1million so now she can buy as any shoes as she wants – though they’ll be paying her to wear them now: But that’s life! In fact she plans to use some of the prize money to lend a helping hand to those in need in Korea this winter and to buy a home in the US. Shin’s final destination is winning total respect by becoming the world number one lady golfer.
Third-place Paula Creamer (who wears lovely matching golf shoe/outfit ensembles) praised Shin, saying “She’s got a great imagination, too. She hits it very straight. I think when she comes over to the LPGA, she’s going to be a great player, a great addition to women’s golf.”
