Adidas have launched the new Tour 360 golf shoe – no surprise it’s the 4.0 following the 3.0
The presentation on the adidas website is amazingly high tech to reflect what looks like a really high tech golf shoe.
The first and foremost feature of the improved golf shoe is the low profile – getting you closer to the ground - which like a sports car, lowers your centre of gravity. Though half an inch for a six foot man makes what difference or amI missing something…? The “ThinTECH” gets you 32% lower than a convenional cleat system.
The Powerband “chasis” isre-engineered to give greater perimeter support. A Fit FOAM foot basemouldstoyour foot and gives a personal fit. AdiPRENE heels absorb shock aswell asraising the heel. The golf shoes have anAdiPRENE toe cap to reduce weear and tear and scuffing on the toes. And they’re waterproof with moisture dispensing wicking inside.
Importantly – to me – they are good looking golf shoes. They come in white or black with two further combinations with more or less black (as seen here on white shoes) or white bits (on black) for design variation.
Loved the Adidas Tour 3.0 shoe. Purchased the Tour 4.0 without even trying them on. Big mistake. The shoe design gives the wearer the impression that they’re pidgeon-toed. Seriously, try a pair on and check it out for yourself. Additionally, I found that my heal fails to stay seated like it does in the Tour 3.0’s. Perhaps that’s because the Tour 4.0 is a heavier shoe. Buyers beware.
