Is That Golf Shoes? Well, Yes and No! Who Knows!
Callaway is making a fair amount of noise about all their new kit – bags balls and especially clubs. tucked away near the bottom is their NEW golf shoe news under the heading “Footwea r & Accessories”. From then on you’re in techo-jargon land! (… a Golf Shoe/Equipment manufactureres’ disease.) So there’s two key new areas for notice [1] Hyperbolic Footwear and [2] XTT Comp Footwear. Their website offers little straightforward help – except to show amazing images as shown here. The graphic repreentation is super but I’m still not quite sure what the new golf shoes look like! And I’m guessing that any new rrival in their range called “Chev” carries the new chevron cleats – but who knows for sure! The shoes look fantatsic (for example the Mens Tour Authentic Exotic Chev) but the sole bears no relation to the image on the right!
They say…
“Callaway Hyperbolic Footwear – Advanced outsole technology, super-low profile design and new Chevron Comfort spikes provide better grip, greater control and maximum power. Insole with Shock Heel absorbs impact for long lasting comfort while Outlast™ Technology absorbs and releases excess body heat to create a pleasant and consistent micro-climate in all temperature conditions. New product introduction retail price: $179.99″
“Callaway XTT Comp Footwear – Callaway Golf’s proprietary moisture management technologies provide golfers extreme comfort while dynamic cleat technology allows the cleat to flex with every step. Independent XTT technology works much like an automobile’s suspension system, adjusting at all times to changing surfaces and slopes. XWT (extra width technology) gives golfers the ability to adjust and custom fit their shoes. New product introduction retail price: $149.99″
XTT – what does that stand for? As for XWT – I’ve read as much as I can about the extra width technology (XWT) and I don’t understand it unless it’s putting in or taking out a liner! Listen guys, I’m not the smartest club in the golf bag but I’m not stupid either and I cannot get to the bottom of what shoes have what XXX technlogie. Make it more simple for us please!

I am wearing a pair of the Hyperbolic Tour shoes now. Best shoe I have EVER owned, and I have tried everything.
