Golf Shoes Blog Sees Golf Shoes Everywhere…
I’m always out and about (figuratively speaking – as I’m actually in my study cruising the tinternet) looking for anything of interest about golf shoes. This pays dividends as I find some wierd and wonderful things and you can see the results in our No Golf Shoes and Who’s Golf Shoes and particularly Other Uses for Golf Shoes categories. And you do get the more ordinary golf shoe specific stories with a twist - at Golf Shoes Blog (I believe).
But sometimes it’s not so fruitful and you get a string of little things which don’t make the grade – or a whole story worth reporting. (And I do like to have a picture whether of a pair of golf shoes or something else in support).
For example today I’ve seen [1] a piece where a golf mad councillor has said she won’t change her golf shoes while driving anymore (her council was introducing more severe penalties for things like using mobie phnes while driving); [2] a mention that Langer used to wear hand-me-downs from his brother, including golf shoes; [3] a guy who has worn his spikes down to a small knob because he’s too lazy to change them; [4] the fact that at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship, Nike had 66 golfers (of the 156 playing) wearing their golf shoes (and a comment that said they had to because of the golf school); [5] a pair of signed Michael Jrdan golf shoes in an auction; and so on…
But that’s all there is to them and they don’t go any further, give any source for more info and in all these cases there’s no pictures.
So now I have to find a picture for this golf shoe miscellany… what shall it be?
It’s a picture of this guy’s golf shot which ended up 5 feet up and the reason it’s here is you can just see his golf shoe (bottom left) which gives you an idea of how high it is! I found this in a post called Golf Shot
