Golf Boot Vs. Golf Shoe
Yes there are alternatives to golf shoes (and not just the “lite” trainer verions). There are golf boots! And why not it seems to make perfect sense! In weather like we have at this time of the year your “waterproof” shoes do a good job but do your socks! How can shoes stop the wet getting into your socks. (You could wear a plastic bag over your socks and tuck it into your trousers I guess!)
Bite Shoes make a golf boot “perfect for days when the weather is not” - a very nice quip! As shown, the Golf Boot 3.0 (replaces the 2.5) is in black only, $50 direct from them.
Spec/tech as follows: proprietary croslite ag™ footbed for comfort, anti-microbial, odor resistance and lightness/LiteRing™ technology & co-moulding process to fuse the LiteRing™ , spike receptacle and phylon midsole together as one unit, eliminating the need for heavy rubber, again for lightness/moulded arch for lateral stability and arch support/reinforced heel and toe for increased wear resistance/replaceable spikes for secure green-friendly traction/two-year waterproof guarantee/leather construction. And apart from a few proprietary names that was very simple and clear – well done to Bite!
There was a Stuburt golf boot which seems to be “sold out or discontinued”. There is a Hi-Tec golf boot which looks like a rubber galosh! And there wa an Adidas which “cannot be found”!
And of course there are always Golf Boot CAMPs!
