Been there – done that – got the T-shirt…
Hunter S Thompson immortalized golf shoes in his famous and supposedly hilarious movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by writing “If we’re ever going to get out of here alive we’re going to need some golf shoes.”
Why? Because golf shoes have the grip to walk on the muck, he said.
