Who’s Got Any Of The Following Golf Shoes? Dexter, Dr Scholls, Etnies, Radioactive, etc
I’ve got very little knowledge of Dexter golf shoes (one post some time ago); none of Dr.Scholls (for golf shoes anyway – I know them from funny grown-ups wearing their sandalls when I was a kid but no doubt they’re still much the same – but they make golf shoes too, apparently); none of Etnies golf shoes; (I was lead to believe that “Lady fairway” made a golf shoe but I’ve already looked and it seems not); Oakley – covered last week; Radioactive golf – never heard of them; Reebok – only one golf shoe ever covered; and Tommy Bahama – no knowledge or them either…
Stop Press: A quick search reveals that Tommy Bahama do NOT make golf shoes. they make shoes (very nice too for the beach/yacht) and they make golf clothing. Just to illustrate the point, here are some of their flip flops. And whilst we’re on the subject of non golf shoes… Do you know who invented the beach sandal? A Frenchman (of course) named Philippe Fallop.

Radioactive is a golf shoe company that specializes in skateboard shoe style. They are not for the traditional footjoy and dockers type golfer. They are marketed towards the action sports crowd (usually under 35yrs) I started golfing at 12 when my grandpa introduced me to the sport and cannot get enough. I am now 33 and also have enjoyed snowbarding, motocross, wakeboarding etc throughout my life. Being from San Diego the action sports lifestyle has a huge influence on my life. The Future from Radioactive provides a golf shoe with my style. No longer am I stuck with the “bowling shoe” look. The white/white is my favorite and is more comfortable than any typical golf shoe I have tried. I know these are not for everyone but it is great to have an option in golf that fits the style of my friends and myself. Anyway I hope this helps.
