Golf Shoes For Babies?
I saw this photo on flickr taken by Erik Rasmussen who kindly provided more information about these curiosities. Erik tells us that the minigolf shoes as trophies were real leather -some withreal laces. “They felt and looked very, very authentic, except for the fact that they were miniature, about the size that my 6-month-old daughter would wear”.
Apparently they were given as trophies in a tournament Erik played in. “If I hadn’t sucked so badly, I would now have one that I could better photograph for you…but I don’t”. Says Erik ruefully. Well if you don’t play to win you don’t get golf shoe trophies and your daughter will never get real mini golf shoes, Erik! (Mind you’d have to win two to get the pair – and they might not match!) The photo (on a mobile phone) is the only record we have!
I did wonder if this is technically another use of a golf shoe but they are not really golf shoes… or are they.
