Orthotic eSoles for golf shoes? Coming Soon…
A company called eSoles is launching a new product to bring what was a custom product to the retail outlet – a foot scan and a custom insole for your athletic shoes, including golf shoes.
A special kiosk analyses your foot and you choose a store-made insole ($69.99) or a send away version to your exact foot pattern ($249).
eSoles sells this type of product to golf professionals (on their feet all day) and to other golfers but I’d estimate that the price tag is a bit rich for the average golfer. Possibly a better choice is to buy an orthotic shoe in the first place – I don’t know! Obviously if you have problem feet the issue becomes greater. The dealers who are so far listed tend towards the orthopaedic rather than the regular store.
The kiosk/facility is rolling out from now in retail stores (a license runs $15,000 for the first year, $9,000 after that). Some Foot Joy golf dealers have signed up.
