Did You know What FootJoy’s Best Selling Golf Shoes In Europe Are?
Apparently they are the FootJoy AQL golf shoe and to my shame Golf Shoes Blog has only mentioned in passing once! Information from the European Tour PGA website (released by FootJoy mind) says that FootJoy is indeed the world’s No. 1 golf shoe. The top table of golf shoe sales in Europe has FootJoy in the first four places and they have over 50% of the UK market. According to the Golf Datatech UK retail audit, the next brand has only 14.8%. Another three places in the top ten are also FootJoy.
The AQL golf shoes come in quite a few colours. I’m showing the white with copper “smooth” style which I think is suede/nubuck or similar. I think these are the most attractive. In the UK they’re all £65 or thereabouts, unless you can find them discounted.
The report says that the “high profile ambassadors like Padraig Harrington and Rory McIlroy showcasing the brand on Tour” help FootJoy no end.
The AQL® remains the UK’s favourite golf shoe with 17.4% share, (followed by the DryJoys® golf shoes with 8.9%.) The list below covers the top ten. the fact that the “competitor models” are not named indicates that the story originates with FootJoy!
