Golf Shoes – Cow To Course
Ecco are claiming to be the “only major shoe manufacturer to own and manage the entire value chain from cow to consumer” (I prefer “Cow to Course” which has better assonance when it comes to golf shoes). And what about the parts of the golf shoe which are not leather (PU midsole etc etc)?
“ECCO is a global leader in city, casual and sport shoes for men, women and children. In 2007, the Danish company sold almost 17 million pairs, achieving net revenues of €756 million”. What proportion of the 17 million pairs of shoes are golf shoes? But then Ecco has never had ambitions on being “the biggest, but always to be the best“.
The golf shoes here are Classic GTX retailing at about $210.
