ECCO Launch New 2009 Version of One-piece Golf Shoe

A press release from our friends at Ecco (of the USA variety not the original Danish ones) announces their new, limited-edition black and cognac saddle style Classic Premier Collection which sell for $170.
They say it fuses “a traditional look with modern technology”, and it showcases the 2009 ECCO “Four Dots” logo. It looks like a real proper golf shoe – you could almost wear it to the pub at the weekend. Ecco shoes are pretty good in the pretty good looking department! Their 2009 PGA Merchandise Show also saw limited-editions of their top-of-the-line “World Class” model in traditional white, black, white; black and white & coffee saddle patterns with a reptile print.
The TECH&SPEC bit goes like this… A new, dual-density outsole for comfort & stability/including soft TPU in the flex areas and extremely hard TPU in the grip & traction zones to create “the ideal platform during all phases of the swing”/.
All ECCO golf shoes include a direct-injected, PU-constructed midsole/outsole that uses a one-piece shoe construction for durability, flexibility, lightness & weather resistance. ECCO says that this “does not break down over time, unlike commonly-used materials such as air, rubber and EVA foam”.
The specification goes on…
Ultra-soft, high-grade leathers with hydrophobic treatments for superb weather-resistance/internal stabilizer for reduced torque & increase swing stability/double-layer insole with cushion that absorbs heel force to reduce stress on the knees, hips and back/”Internal Air-Circulation System” to maintain a fresh, dry and cool foot/”Dynamic Energy Return System” that provides a trampoline effect during foot-strike and follow-through to reduce fatigue/reen-friendly outsole designs featuring molded traction bars combined with Stinger cleats from Champ and the Q-Lok insert system for ideal traction and grip. (hey and that’s pretty jargon free from Ecco – have they been listening to golf-shoes-blog!)
