More “Designer” Golf Shoes
Golf Shoes Blog doesn’t have a category (yet) for so callled designer golf shoes… I’m not sure what we’d put in it if we did. At the moment they might get to go into ”Amazing” golf shoes or if they’re from a lesser known brand, into “other brands” – or of course one of our favourites from a design POV, into Michael Toschi (who to date have made the a big chunk of the majority of what we like from a “designer” view. Maybe we’ll just stick to amazing golf shoes for now… and I’ll file these Cole Hass Golf Shoes in that category too.
Let’s get the price out of the way: $258. Not bad for a statement that looks good and looks like something unusual & special, as both these pairs of golf shoes do. The Air Landon is above and the Air Logan is below. Asked to choose one for looks I’d go with the Logan as it’s just a little more unusual.
Cole Haas is a retailer/brand with stores in the US (and one in Canada in Toronto) and seems to be on an expansion plan abroad, into principally, Asia. As far as the AIR bit goes, that’s from Nike, as we’ve seen in plenty of golf shoes before. And it looks like they have plenty of regular shoes made along these lies too.
Most of the sales pitch for these golf shoes is based on the known “craftmanship” of the Haas brand. The rest goes along these lines: waterproof in soft & supple calfskin leather & waterproof membrane allowing the foot to breathe; leather sole design with new technology for stance, swing (and mechanics of a golf swing); a longitudinal flex groove inserted on the medial side of the sole keeps the shoe on the ground as long as possible. Visible NIKE MAX AIR Technology for cushioning; waterproof TPU membrane liner, breathable leather linings, fully padded Poron TM sock liner, and new advanced system of green friendly spikes.
In summary – from them not me – “made with Cole Haan artisan craftsmanship and Nike high-performance innovation”.
