I only write this because I’m intrigued about what BIOM golf shoes are…

I’m miffed at ECCO because they send me all their puff and when I asked if they could send me a pair of their ladies’ golf shoes for my wife (so I could write great things about them no doubt) they never even replied to me.  My wife wasn’t going to play golf in them but I needed an Xmas present desperately!  “Zero points” ECCO!

Now, I’ve been away so I have some catching up to do and I will get the detail on these golf shoes and see if they are the new deal which I always hope for… Watch this space…

Somebody Asked For Pretty Pink Golf Shoes Like Paula’s Before: Can I find their Comment So Many Months (Years?) Later…

This is part of the Paula Creamer designed (or inspired by) Signature golf shoe range at Adidas. But when you look to buy from the range, you just see the (boring) ordinary looking ones.

And I suspect (do I really want to wade through all the trademarked acronym components to check?) that the actual golf shoe spec is pretty much as you’d expect.  But I would imagine that with the signature golf shoe range for Paula (and for Natalie) that the name and the association is quite significant along with the look and styling. Or else why would Adidas bother with the tie in?

Marpessa writes… “Help!! No one has extra wide(E-EE) golf shoes in a Ladies size 6!!! Why not??”  (GSB: I’m not sur if E-EE is different to EEE).  She continues “I am sure there are others in my, NOT SIZED MEDIUM, boat!!!  How can I improve my golf game when my feet feel like they are on fire??”

Apparently Marpessa has tried sites for wide feet to no avail “Even the site with “custom” golf shoes did not offer extra wide shoes!! How is that “CUSTOM”???? They should stipulate,”fairly custom”, unless you are really hard to fit!!”

We don’t know which sites to suggest bearing in mind, Marpessa, that you don’tsay which sites you have tried.

Callaway?

Last January Golf Shoes Blog reported that Natalie Gublis was designing a new golf shoe/golf shoe range for Adidias. Please see that New 2010 Shoe By Gulbis post especially if you want to see her in a gold bikini.

Now the phrase has become ”Designed collaboratively with Natalie Gulbis”, which begs the questionof her input but who’s bothered… it does boast Natalie’s “personal logo” on the lace tag.

I’ve found two looks to picture within the signature range and I actually prefer the black with the feature colour pinky-purple (what did they call the colour? Hot?)… and I usually prefer the white golf shoe.  There’s also a blue verion which is better with the white shoe and the colour running down the lace-up panel.  And a solid red verion which is humming.

Adidas say this is a tour-level shoe combining advanced technologies with the sleek styling and intricate detailing “for a distinctive look that delivers superior performance”

Take your pick…Champ Stinger Studs or Champ Litewate studs – both on the pink & red “Shandals”.  Actually I’m not sure what the actual name is of the golf shoes.  If you look at the ad that Alan published as seen on Golf Shoes Blog earlier, you won’t see a name as such.  (I’ve asked.) Nor to be honest do I know how you buy them, though there is a number on the ad – 00 44 (o)1545 570904.  I think you need to phone…

I’ve also assumed that they’re mostly for ladies s they were advertised in women’s golf magazines.  But again I’m not 100% sure!

Following my mention of Tip Tee Toe golf shoes (boy that’s hard to remember and type – though I bet they think it’s easy because they’re used to it!) I’ve had several comments and mails about these wedge-heeled golf shoes for ladies.

They now have their own website – not surprisingly called TipTeeToe (though the large “Patent pending” is not the usual greeting you get on a home page.  Here they tell us the advantages of the wedge – let alone the colourfulness.

They say the wedge  “creates proper knee flex throughout the swing and promotes an easier weight transfer to the back heel in the backswing and front toes in the downswing to impact.  The back knee remains flexed, thus avoiding any lock and retaining a powerful position and  having the back heel elevated at impact helps to square the hips and clubface, thus making more solid contact.”

One of the any comments that we had endorses the claims – though you never know how a cynic can sometimes think these come from PR hacks!  She said: Saw these TIP TEE TOE golf shoes at the 2010 PGA Show.  Every color imaginable. Incredible fit and comfort and available in 90 days.  At Demo Day some girl was having a great time wearing them and hitting the ball a ton. Seemed to have solid footing and looked good, too.

Dawgs Golf is showing these new golf shoes and I like the look of them IF you want to go this direction. I think they look better than Crocs (see earlier mentions) – but now that they’re Bite are we going to see some developments???  Before the Crocs didn’t look like golf shoes but these Dawgs do actually look like they were made for that purpose.

Where did these Callaway Vela Golf Shoes come from all of a sudden!  They’re a lightweight, spikeless design that they say works on or off the course. With soft but strong last construction in full leather and rubber outsole and as said, spike less.  For styling the appeal comes from the detailed stitching and the low-profile design – though with the recommended raised heel. Personally (though not a lady in the first place!) I’d wear these OFF the course and probably not on. 

The hook-and-loop closure is adjustable and with the  padded collar and tongue and cushioned insole you should get the required comfort & fit.

Available in red, white or black (called graphite). Around the $100 mark.  Definitely at Amazon.

Brandy asked in a comment to Golf Shoes Blog: I have been watching the Lorena Ochoa golf tourney and really want the pink, black and white adidas golf shoes that Paula Creamer is wearing. I love adidas shoes and they are comfy. I want to know if they are going to sell them soon or they are just her personal shoes that we the public cannot get. Please help!!!!!

We know that Creamer represents TaylorMade-Adidas Golf and wears amazing golf shoes and has amazing colour co-ordinates… but we don’tknow those particular golf shoes.  These ones here are three years old.  The ones here are this year but aren’t hers in that sense – they’re the team shoes in The Solheim Cup. (Ecco?)

But you can buy Adidas powerband golf shoes, like Creamer’s as pictured here. OK they’re pink and white and not black and white, but you’ll get the idea from these golf shoes. I’ll have another look for the ones that Brandy is after… Watch this space…
