I’m still catching up and getting the old draft news out from months ago… so this isn’t new to you but I like the look of these – at least the ladies styling.  No details but a picture of these light weight golf shoes (the clue’s in the name…)

Somebody Asked For Pretty Pink Golf Shoes Like Paula’s Before: Can I find their Comment So Many Months (Years?) Later…

This is part of the Paula Creamer designed (or inspired by) Signature golf shoe range at Adidas. But when you look to buy from the range, you just see the (boring) ordinary looking ones.

And I suspect (do I really want to wade through all the trademarked acronym components to check?) that the actual golf shoe spec is pretty much as you’d expect.  But I would imagine that with the signature golf shoe range for Paula (and for Natalie) that the name and the association is quite significant along with the look and styling. Or else why would Adidas bother with the tie in?

Last January Golf Shoes Blog reported that Natalie Gublis was designing a new golf shoe/golf shoe range for Adidias. Please see that New 2010 Shoe By Gulbis post especially if you want to see her in a gold bikini.

Now the phrase has become ”Designed collaboratively with Natalie Gulbis”, which begs the questionof her input but who’s bothered… it does boast Natalie’s “personal logo” on the lace tag.

I’ve found two looks to picture within the signature range and I actually prefer the black with the feature colour pinky-purple (what did they call the colour? Hot?)… and I usually prefer the white golf shoe.  There’s also a blue verion which is better with the white shoe and the colour running down the lace-up panel.  And a solid red verion which is humming.

Adidas say this is a tour-level shoe combining advanced technologies with the sleek styling and intricate detailing “for a distinctive look that delivers superior performance”

We’ve seen a few pairs of golf shoes/boots recently. To be honest it makes sense:  However good and water-proof or water-resistant or water-tight your golf shoes are, if you don’t have leather socks on and the grass is longer than two or three inches then you can still get wet!

The style is described as a “demi-boot” by Adidas. At £55-ish they seem a fair buy.

I can only assume that these are the golf shoes that Brandy asked about which I found a second after that post.  I’m not going to tell you where I found them except too say it’s an Adidas golf site on the women’s golf shoes page!

We know that Creamer represents TaylorMade-Adidas Golf and wears amazing golf shoes and has amazing colour co-ordinates… but we don’tknow those particular golf shoes.  These ones here are three years old.  The ones here are this year but aren’t hers in that sense – they’re the team shoes in The Solheim Cup. (Ecco?)

But you can buy Adidas powerband golf shoes, like Creamer’s as pictured here. OK they’re pink and white and not black and white, but you’ll get the idea from these golf shoes. I’ll have another look for the ones that Brandy is after… Watch this space…  

Adidas have launched the new Tour 360 golf shoe – no surprise it’s the 4.0 following the 3.0

The presentation on the adidas website is amazingly high tech to reflect what looks like a really high tech golf shoe.

The first and foremost feature of the improved golf shoe is the low profile – getting you closer to the ground - which like a sports car, lowers your centre of gravity. Though half an inch for a six foot man makes what difference or amI missing something…?  The “ThinTECH” gets you 32% lower than a convenional cleat system.

The Powerband “chasis” isre-engineered to give greater perimeter support.  A Fit FOAM foot basemouldstoyour foot and gives a personal fit. AdiPRENE heels absorb shock aswell asraising the heel.  The golf shoes have anAdiPRENE toe cap to reduce weear and tear and scuffing on the toes.  And they’re waterproof with moisture dispensing wicking inside.

Importantly  – to me – they are good looking golf shoes.  They come in white or black with two further combinations with more or less black (as seen here on white shoes) or white bits (on black) for design variation.

These golf shoes(available at Golf Shoes Plus for $79) really look the businessand if you want an extra feminine touch (somewould dispute…) they are also available in pink metal too.  My first thoughts werejust hw attractive a golf shoe there were.

Then my thughts were why, surely they’re 360 Tours bu Adidas doesn’tuse the name for the womens shoes, it seems even though they do have that technology/design.  But the twist is the way the 360 wrap goes underground with these golf shoes and is then only represented with dotted lines.  maybe that is why they look so good?

Greenpeace are reporting a victory from the shoe makers (including golf shoes) who were challenged to stop using leather implicated in deforestation.  They say “There’s now a unified front from the shoe companies we challenged over Amazon leather in their supply chains. Timberland, Geox, Nike, Adidas and Clarks have all committed to avoiding leather that is implicated in Amazon destruction”.

They add further that “British shoe company Clarks have announced that they won’t use leather in their shoes which has come from recently deforested areas of the Amazon. They’re not only rejecting leather from illegally logged areas of the region, but from any cattle ranch that is being run on deforested land”.

Having just seen these golf shoes for the first time, I’m wondering if I’m doing my job properly – am I missing new golf shoes when they come out or are these quite new?  I’ve never seen them before or even heard of the name.

The pair on the left are in black and burgundy (hardly visible – looks like black/black)  and the inset with white – which has more of what I would understand as “mod-ish”.  But I don’t know if that’s where the name comes from.  I can only see these golf shoes in US sites with $ prices (about $60 when discounted)(and one SA site).  The looks to me definitely have a 1960’s mod feel to them (or a bit bowling shoe).  Maybe they’ve been hiding on “style” pages rather than golf pages…
