Golf Shoes With “Smart Quills”…again
I have mentioned these golf shoes before - and I’m going to again! This is partly because this is such a good image (left) and partly because I’m on the trail of some good information about them – and to be honest though the Puma website(s) are pretty “sexy” they are light on information. So now I’m determined to update an old post and give some new details. Last time I mentioned them specifically because they had special lefty versions.
I saw this image and thought it looked so good but I cannot now find out where it came from! All I can tell you about this so far, is that it’s got so-called “quills” which they weren’t called before. The gist of them is that they are all directional and specific to holding your two (different) feet in their own (different) place during the swing. Thus the need for left foot versions.
Lotta Wahlin is seen here (right) gloriously in green wearing her Swing Crowns.
Puma says about the GTX – which might or might not be the same thing – “inspired by the 50’s, but uses PUMA ’s newest game-changing golf technology: Smart Quill. This design improves performance and combines comfort and light weight in an unique style”. Lastly here’s the Swing GTX in another colour way and listen to this colour description – Swing GTX HB black coffee-spray green-whisper white-strawberry ice. That’s a lot of color but still very little on the Spec&Tech, except material-leather, Gore-Tex & three colour TPU-sole.
